Ben Avon & Beinn a'Bhuird Start at Inchrory NJ179080.  Up to Ben Avon via path from there climb up to Meall Gaineimh, the north-easternmost top of Ben Avon, and continue along an undulating ridge and across the plateau to the summit.  Down to the Sneck and Northern top of Beinn a'Bhuird.  Descent in Northerly to path and back to Inchrory. Meet at Cairngorm Hotel at 7.30am and travel to walk in leaders transport

G2 Outdoor
A' Challeach and Cairn Sgulian From the picturesque Glen Banchor above Newtonmore. These two munros are a good introduction to the Monadhaliath Hills. Meet at Cairngorm Hotel at 9am and travel to walk. Car share plus limited number of seats with leaders transport As start 15km/ 9.5m 4/6 hours over 700m of ascent Moderate to Strenuous Full mountain walking gear, packed lunch. Participants 15 and over under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost £20 per head. Walking ratios are 8 walkers to 1 leader.

The Northern Corries A walk following the rim of the Northern Corries, taking in summits Cairn Lochain 1215m and Sneachda 1176m finishing by climbing Cairn Gorm 1245m. Return down the funicular Railway. Cairngorm Ranger Base, car park at the top of ski road at 9am. OS Grid NH990 060. Car share or Service Bus. Check in to Cairngorm Hotel on your way. The Wildcat Trail  10k orbital path round Newtonmore passing over moorland, through woodland and along the banks of three rivers. Magnificent views. Wildcat Centre, Main Street, Newtonmore 10.30am. Transport from Cairngorm Hotel at 10am. Car share As start 10km/6m        3-4 hours Moderate Stout  footwear advisable. Bring packed lunch and something to drink. Donations to upkeep of Trail appreciated. Cost £5

Glenmore Lodge National Outdoor Centre
Ben Macdui – this is the big one – the highest point of the Cairngorm Plateau and second highest peak in the UK.  Meet at the Cairngorm Ranger Base, Cairngorm, 9am  OS Grid NH  990 060. Car Share or Service bus As start 5pm  7/8 hours. 15km/10m  900m of ascent.
Strenuous Full mountain walking gear, packed lunch. Participants 15 and over. Cost £17 per head. Maximum 12 walkers

Highland Council Ranger  Saranne Bish
Anagach Woods & The River Spey to Cromdale Church. A walk down to the River Spey, along its banks to Cromdale church and back to Grantown through the lovely Anagach Woods. A joint venture with the Anagach Woods Trust.

Steam and Stroll - Boat of Garten to Aviemore.  Board the magnificent steam train from Aviemore to Boat of Garten and stroll back along the scenic Speyside Way across heather moor and through beautiful birch woods, observing the spring flora and fauna along the way.
